Good location for the theatre and access to Green Park tube. Comfortable and and easy check in.
Private party monopolised the lounge and outdoor area. More space needed for other guests.

Very few things were good about the hotel but to stay positive with Dukes: 1 Hotel is in a good position. 2 Staff were polite. 3 Concierge was excellent. 4 Room was clean. 5 Lots of coat hangers in the room. 6 Provided an umbrella.
Booked the hotel after reading the fantastic comments on Booked.net. However was sadly dissappointed in every aspect. I'm not one to complain but feel so strongly at how bad the hotel was. 1 When we arrived no doormen to help with luggage. Dragged everything in ourselves and still no one asked us if we wanted help. 2 Only one old original lift servicing 90 rooms. If someone didn't shut the doors properly the lift wouldn't move to the floor you were on. Therefore either had to walk the flights or send someone to each floor to shut the the doors properly. 3 Room was lovely but very basic. No tea making facility. Mattress very hard. When having a shower the water didn't flow away therefore standing in knee deep water. 4 Bin and glass collection and housekeeping bashing away at 7.30am was not ideal outside the window and room. 5 Ordered a taxi to go out one night. Went down to collect it but they hadn't ordered. No doormen therefore reception had to go onto the streets to order. Took them 20 minutes therefore making us late for our dinner reservation. 6 Says it has a gym but this is very basic and some of the machine's weren't working.

The staff were excellent. As i got out of my taxi i was asked my name. I was then taken to reception & the porter inroduced me to the receptionist. from that moment on every member of staff called me by name rather than just sir. I was very impressed.

Super location in quiet corrner of St. James but near shopping and by foot, a few minutes from Buckingham Palace and Big Ben. Small and cozy but with five star service - the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway.

The service was really good, highlighted by the cute staff who created a nice birthday celebration. Dining was a treat, particularly the fantastic food served at the hotel restaurant. The busy bar area was a bit overwhelming at times was great. While the hotel charm was appreciated, some features felt a bit dated and could use a refresh.

The check-in process took longer than expected!!! Playing chess in the bar shouldn't require us to be exiled to the lounge. Such odd arrangements can really ruin a relaxing evening!!!

Hotel is near all the shops etc in London,
The Hotel has made the rooms smaller and they are way too expensive for the size of the rooms

Charming hotel with an excellent service, bar and restaurant, conveniently situated and quiet.
My only observation is that too much light comes into the room in the morning and all rooms should be fitted with adequate sunblinds.

The dukes hotel is just lovley! The bar has the best martinis ever, especially when they prepare it right in front of u. The breakfast in the restaurant is super good too, like wow! I loved the cozy ambiance. The staff were so nice and helpful.
But the walls are kinda thin, so u can hear noise from the hallway. Check-in was a bit awkward with some misunderstandings about the room.

Quaint and fairly clean place with incredibly kind and very pleasant staff from the waitstaff and bellman. Luxurious room, enjoyable breakfasts. A wide range of well presented food. Stunning, wonderful location in London, very close to do in the heart of London, and many fabulous shops. Great choice for business trip.
